For many participants, bayernMUN also serves as a preparatory meeting to the annual National Model United Nations (NMUN) in New York City. Your participation at bayernMUN will enhance your personal experience and your team’s success in New York.
Job Fair “Beyond Borders”
bayernMUN hosts a few companies and organizations that are interested in motivated and internationally educated students: As a delegate, you may be able to find internships or information on job opportunities.
Will be announced as soon as they have confirmed their participation. Expect great personalities!
Online registration is closed since 1 February. At this time, we can only accept participants that do NOT need a visa, please contact us via email.
Successful negotiations don’t end with formal debate. That’s why
- bayernMUN provides first-class hotel accommodation close to the venue
- We provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as snacks and beverages during sessions
- There will be opportunities to socialize after the official conference hours
bayernMUN operates on a non-profit basis. Costs cover actual expenses.
The fee of 129€ includes participation, conference materials, first-class accommodation, full board, snacks and beverages during sessions and even job opportunities!
The 2014 bayernMUN conference will be held in Neuendettelsau (near Nuremberg). Accommodations are located right next to the conference hall.
The provisional agenda of the 2014 bayernMUN is as follows:
- Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms While Countering Terrorism
- Promoting Sustainable Development Practices in Transnational Corporations
- Addressing the Custom of Child Marriage and its Impact on Girls
Background information for these topics is made available after registration. To make such a wide variety of topics accessible in a single committee, the bayernMUN conference will be simulating the General Assembly Plenary. Contrary to NMUN, it will operate with its own agenda.

Please adhere to the dress code and code of conduct of the United Nations. Western business attire and diplomatic decorum is mandatory during sessions. The Chair reserves the right to sanction violations of dress code and code of conduct to ensure a smooth and professional conference.
Country assignments are handled by the online tool after you have been successfully registered. First come, first served.
Chair Applications, Scholarships, Visa
There is no application procedure for chairs/staff, as the conference is fully staffed by people we know in order to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for all participants. We can not offer scholarships of any kind, since we do not have any funds other than those necessary for conduct of the conference proper. If you need a visa to travel to Germany, we will offer a letter confirming your participation AFTER all fees have been received. We can offer no further assistance for travel arrangements or the visa application process.
